Product Description

Corded Chair Pad and Bed Pad Combo with Economy In-Room Alarm (TL-2100E)- EBW1-SYS-EC1-SYS

Place the 10x15 chair sensor pad under your patient’s buttock area. The chair sensor pad has a cord which runs along the side of the chair. When the patient starts to get up, taking their weight off the chair sensor pad, the pad sends a signal to the chair exit alarm monitor and the monitor will start to alarm and let you know they need assistance. By having a chair alarm in the room with the patient, you will not only hear the alert from an adjacent room, but the patient may slow down and wait for you because they hear the alarm sound, giving you valuable time to come to their aid.

Place the 20x30 bed sensor pad under your patient’s back or buttock area (beneath the fitted sheet). The bed sensor pad has a cord which runs along the side of the mattress

How it works?

Place the bed sensor pad (PPB-WI) under your patient’s back or buttock area (beneath the fitted sheet). The bed sensor pad has a cord which runs along the side of the mattress. When the patient starts to sit up, taking their weight off the bed sensor pad, the pad sends a signal to the bed alarm monitor and the monitor will start to alarm and let you know the resident needs assistance. By having a bed alarm in the room with the patient, you will not only hear the alert from an adjacent room, but the patient may slow down and wait for you because they hear the alarm sound, giving you valuable time to come to their aid.

To use chair pad, place the pad on the seat of the patient's chair.  You may place a thin coverlet over the pad, but always test before using to ensure the alarm sounds immediately when weight is removed from the pad.  Connect the pad to the alarm via the approximately 3 foot cord that runs out of a corner of the pad, which clips securely into the alarm monitor with a connection similar to a phone jack.  Hang the chair alarm on the chair (using the hanging hardware included), or place in a convenient location near the pad.  When the patient lifts their weight from the pad, the chair alarm will sound, calling you to their aid. Simply silence the alarm by pressing the reset button as you assist your patient. When you are ready to activate the system again, place the patient back onto the pad. The system is reactivated and ready to respond as soon as they remove their weight from the pad again.
